KFC is serving a fried chicken doughnut sandwich! The food wars are getting crazy and it seems that companies are pulling out all the stops to compete with each other and get new customers and increase profits. The thought of this intrigues me as I have always wanted to try a hamburger with doughnuts as my bun. This reminds me of the crazy foods you see at the state fair. This definitely puts a new spin on chicken and waffles. The news is quickly spreading on social media and has peaked interest in other cities.
According to KFC consumers will have two options to choose from: a chicken and doughnut basket meal which includes chicken tenders or bone-chicken plus a doughnut; or a chicken sandwich featuring a fried chicken patty between two doughnut buns – the much more exciting option. Pricing may vary check out the KFC website to see if it being offered in your area. Currently at more than 40 locations in Norfolk and Richmond Virginia and Pittsburgh.
